Course Description:

Types of sentence and discourse patterns in Canadian Indigenous languages; attention to real language use across different genres (e.g. traditional stories, conversation, personal narratives, oratory and ceremony) so that students can go on to collect and transcribe samples of language in context rather than word list or sentences in isolation.
