CILLDI Summer School Internship Program
An information session about interning for the 18th Annual CILLDI Summer School will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 4pm - 5pm in ASH 4-70. Please RSVP with any dietary restrictions to firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see you there!
The CILLDI internship program began in the summer of 2012. Our internships are flexible positions, with room for creativity and personal initiative.
CILLDI interns will be assigned to a summer school class in one or two blocks. The dates of this year's Summer School are July 10-28, 2017 (Block I will be July 10-19, and Block II July 20-28). Intern responsibilities may include:
- Assisting students (with work, questions, etc) and providing administrative support to instructors
- Helping with the organization of social events
- Being a UofA campus ambassador: showing students from out of town where to find classes, residences, and administration buildings
- Contributing to record-keeping projects (we may ask you to take photos or video)
We welcome applicants with a wide variety of skills. While a background in Linguistics, Education, Native Studies, or Anthropology is not necessary to succeed as part of CILLDI, a commitment to the preservation of linguistic diversity is. With this in mind, we appreciate applicants from all academic backgrounds and all levels of education.
The Internship Application form can be found here or on the Forms page. The application deadline is April 7, 2017. Please send completed forms to the CILLDI office by email, fax, or mail by that date. (Visit the Contact Us page for our address and fax number)
Feel free to contact the CILLDI office via email with any questions.
